Collecting the 1955 Topps Baseball Card Set

The 1955 Topps set is one of the favorites of vintage collectors as well as Baseball Card Advisors. This set is loaded with Hall of Famers (HOF) and is an expensive challenge. The only big name missing from the set is Mickey Mantle. Mickey Mantle was working with Bowman Baseball cards in 1954 & 1955 and is not included in either Topps set. Baseball Card Advisors has worked with many collectors who have assembled this set. The interesting part of this set is that it was limited to only 240 cards. This is small in comparison to sets from the 1960s that reached 600 cards and the 1970s sets that reach almost 800 cards for some years. Baseball Card Advisors favorite cards from the set are the rookie cards of #164-Roberto Clemente, #123-Sandy Koufax, and #124-Harmon Killebrew. Other popular cards are #2-Ted Williams, #50-Jackie Robinson, #155-Eddie Mathews, #198-Yogi Berra, #210-Duke Snider, #194-Willie Mays, #47-Hank Aaron, and #28-Ernie Banks.
