The American Caramel Baseball Cards Set (E91) set was produced by the Philadelphia’s American Caramel Company. The cards size are 1-1/2 x 2-3/4. This caramel set is included in the Caramel Card Library. The complete set is comprised of 99 cards and is divided into 3 series of 33 cards each. These cards were produced for issue in 1908, 1909, 1910. Each set has a similar style card with photos and a standard picture layout. These cards are considered by many collectors to be “generic” and therefore, aren’t popular. The actual players aren’t the ones in the pictures. In fact, the same art was used in some cases on 3 different players cards. The name is always located in the white border on the bottom of the card along with their position an the team they played for.
Fortunately; there are numerous Hall of Fame Players included in the three sets so “player” collectors eventually need to purchase this series to complete their sets. These cards are readily available in the marketplace and high end specimens can be found at reasonable prices.
We focus on Caramel Card Issues so if you have questions about these cards, have a collection you need to sell or auction; contact us and we can assist in maximizing your return.

The 1910 set card back has a checklist of Pittsburgh Pirates/Washington Senators/Boston Red Sox. An interesting note to this set is the Philadelphia Athletics won the World Series in 1910 , yet no cards were produced for the team that year.
