The American Caramel Baseball Card Set (E106) was issued in 1915 by the American Caramel Company in York, PA. There are total of 48 cards in the set and they measure “1-1/2 x 2-3/4”. The backs are standard and unnumbered with just the basic sponsor name. Even though this is a small set; it has a lot of horsepower. There are 2 different card poses from Ty Cobb, Honus Wagner, and Joe Tinker. This is a collector favorite, albeit an expensive one.
Like so many other caramel baseball cards from this era; “borrowed” images are no stranger to this this. The E90-1 and E90-2 cards started their sets with the images no used for this issue. Each card has a color background with the player name, team, and position on the bottom. These cards are fairly rare as they were produced during World War I (1914-1918).
This another one of our favorites. If you are looking to sell we can assist as we are buying all caramel cards. Please contact us for more information.
